Blue on the Avenue featuring Bill Dowey
Update: music now begins at 4:30 pmJoin host and curator Mike Watson for an exploration of local blues music on the Stephen Avenue Summer stage, located on 8th avenue SE, just east of Centre Street from 4 to 6 PM.

Blues singer Bill Dowey is the real deal. He’s got the voice, the feel, the experience, the life. Bill Dowey has got the blues. A powerful and heartfelt voice, a searing slide guitar tone, and a tour bus full of experience makes Bill Dowey one of the most convincing and dedicated blues artists in Canada.
From humble beginnings in the basement of a downtown Toronto church where he discovered an old out of tune piano to backing some of the greatest names in blues, Dowey has developed a masterful touch and a well-earned place in blues lineage.
