Stephen Avenue Walk is a great outdoor venue for sharing your talents with the public.

Stephen Avenue Walk Busker Permits allow you to perform along 8 Ave SW between
1 St SE and 4 St SW only. Other downtown areas (LRT stations, Eau Claire Market, etc.) issue their own permits and must be contacted separately.

Obtaining a Permit

The following information sheet and application form clearly outline the requirements for busking on Stephen Avenue Walk. You must be able to provide two pieces of current, valid identification – one must be picture ID.

Cost is $50 for an annual permit that must be displayed prominently and visibly at all times.

These requirements apply to everyone, even those who have performed on Stephen Avenue Walk previously.

• Buskers must abide by all Municipal, Federal, and Provincial laws
• Performers must be of good conduct, appearance and character while busking
• Performances must be family-oriented – materials, props and gestures must be suitable for all audiences
• Amplification is allowed but volume levels must be kept to a minimum
• Buskers must not obstruct pedestrian or vehicle traffic, or block business entrances
• Stephen Avenue Walk does not issue permits for bagpipes, drums or trumpets
