Vendors are temporary, daily re-sellers of product on Stephen Avenue Walk or Barclay Parade. Vendors have a designated space and must follow the guidelines set out in the Stephen Avenue Walk Vendor Guide.
Vendor Permit Application Checklist
  • Completed Daytime Applicaton Form or Nightime Application Form
  • A copy of your Health Inspection Certificate (AB Health services — contact an Alberta Public Health Inspector at 403 943 8013)
  • Email or deliver the application package in person to our office. Please schedule an appointment should you wish to review your application with the manager.
Once you have been accepted you will be asked to sign a contract with the Calgary Downtown Association for the use of the space and asked to provide a deposit cheque of $500 for use of the tent.
* Required use of a 10'x10' Downtown Calgary tent that we provide upon receipt of a refundable deposit of $500 by postdated cheque.

Selecting your Contract Term

This year, we are looking to attract a variety of seasonal vendors to provide new and interesting 'food' opportunities to the many pedestrians and Downtown user groups. However, we are respectful of our existing merchants and restaurants along 8th Ave. When putting together your menu, please consider some of the more likely food items already being served and look to avoid too much duplication.

A food vendor can apply for any and all of the categories listed above, however there are limited 'spots' for each contract term.

Contract payments will need to be made in full, in advance of receiving your permit. Should you require a payment plan, please indicate this in advance on your application with your suggested payment terms. Your payment terms may factor towards acceptance of your application.

Off season terms allow the vendor to do business any day during the pre-selected months ie (Nov & April) pending the number of months purchased.

Decison of use regarding Downtown Calgary tents will be based on space required and location requested.
