Parking in the downtown core has been made easier and convenient with a greater selection of long and short term parking. Coming down for shopping, meetings, dining and entertainment can be enjoyable knowing there is parking available.

Parking includes:
- FREE street parking after 6:00 pm everyday and all day Sunday at over 3,000
- FREE street parking 7 days a week after 6:00 pm along Stephen Avenue Walk
- Extensive curbside and surface-lot parking.
- Lower evening rates in parkades and surface lots starting at 4:00 pm on weekdays
- Discounts available for smaller vehicles
$5 Fridays from the Calgary Parking Authority
Parking is available for $5 from 11:00am on Friday until 6:00am Saturday at the Centennial, McDougall, City Centre, James Short, and Civic Plaza parkades.
This pilot project has been extended until March 31, 2012. $5 Fridays came about in consultation with the Calgary Downtown Association and is another step toward promoting activity in downtown Calgary.
FREE Valet Parking Service at THE CORE (TD Square, Holt Renfrew)
The CORE (TD Square, Holt Renfrew) is offering a complimentary valet parking service that operate seven days a week, during mall hours.
Trained valet attendants will greet drivers at the CORE’s valet podium located at the main mall entrance on 3rd Street between 7th and 8th Avenue. Drivers will be given a claim ticket with a phone number that they can text or call 10-15 minutes before they are ready to leave and the valet attendant will have their car waiting for them. The service is complimentary but applicable parking rates will apply. Should customers choose to visit the CORE on evenings or weekends, both the valet service and the parking rate will be free of charge (for the first 3 hours).
FREE Parking at THE CORE (TD Square, Holt Renfrew)
All customers will receive three hours of free parking after 4pm on weekdays and all day Saturday and Sunday. After the three hours, customers will be charged a flat fee of $2.00
Customers can park at the CORE Parkade, located on 4th Street between 8th Avenue and 7th Avenue, under TD Canada Trust Tower, as well as Holt Renfrew Parkade on 8th Avenue, between 4th Street and 5th Street.
New parking promotion at The Bay
The Bay Downtown is offering free weekend (Saturday, Sunday and Holiday) parking at the Bow Parkade when you purchase $25.00 or more upon presentation of your parking receipt. The $3.00 parking amount will be deducted off your purchase.

ParkPlus (street parking system) how to:
- Once pulled into a ParkPlus parking zone, look out for the conveniently located pay machines
- Follow payment instructions
- Provide your zone and license plate number and you're done!
The system is automated and ticketless which eliminates placing a ticket on the dashboard. The flexibility of the ParkPlus zones allows for more parking spaces available in most areas.
Problems? In the event a pay machine is out of order, you must proceed to another pay machine to make payment using one of the functioning payment methods provided.
If a pay machine does not return coins, customers may request a refund by emailing parkplusadmin@calgaryparking.com or by faxing 403-537-7001.
Requests must include the date, pay machine ID, contact information and any other relevant information.
